Nemo is a modern liveaboard, built in traditional Egyptian style on the peaceful shores of the Red Sea and offering routes through Egypt, Sudan and Djibouti.

Nemo was entirely refitted in 2013, she more than meets the demands of today’s modern diver. Run by a respected French operator, the crew pays special attention to the safety on board and 5* service is guaranteed.


The budget-friendly Nemo liveaboard caters for 22 guests in 11 cabins. Each cabin features en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning, charging ports and storage space. Located on the lower deck are 6 twin cabins and 1 suite, and on the upper deck are 4 double cabins.


On the main deck there is an air-conditioned saloon with a large plasma TV, DVD, music system, library, and a well-stocked bar with plenty of space to relax in between dives. The separate dining area is nearby, where delicious meals are served up three times a day in buffet style. Non-alcoholic drinks, tea, coffee, and water are included. Special dietary requirements can be catered for, but please give plenty of notice.

On the upper deck you'll find two relaxation areas: one at the front and one on the back of the boat, with a big shaded area with sofa beds and tables. There are also sofas on the sky deck so you can sit back and enjoy the sunsets and seascapes. The dive deck is spacious and well-equipped with personal gear boxes, a camera storage area, large rinse tanks, two compressors, and fresh-water showers. 



Join the Nemo liveaboard for a fantastic dive safari in Djibouti from December to January. Divers will be amazed at the by the diversity of marine life in this pristine area. Departing from Djibouti, the Nemo sets sail for dive sites at Moucha Island, the 7 Brothers, Obok, Tadjoura and Ras Korali. Divers can experience up-close encounters with whale sharks, as well as dolphins, nurse sharks, reef sharks, manta rays and large schools of fish.


The Suite located on the lower deck has a queen-sized bed, an ensuite bathroom, individual air-conditioning, and an extra storage area.

  • Pickup time at the airport is according to your flights. Give yourself enough time to go through immigration and pickup your bags
  • On arrival, the local agent will receive you at the airport and be transferred the port.

  • At the airport hold the boarding cards of the flights till you received the Visa.
  • On the last day, according to your  flight schedule, it will be offered a daily trip to the Assal Lake or day use at the Beach house (extra fees apply for day use)
  • 3 pieces of equipment are compulsory by Law in Djibouti, and must be carried by each diver at all time: Dive computer, SMB, and a surface way of signalisation (lights and/or sound devices) are mandatory. 
  • Nitrox and rental equipment have to be prearranged
  • Divers are requested to show proof of diving qualification and a medical statement not older than 6 months at the beginning of the safari.

Day 1

  • Check in and prepare the diving equipment as we go out to sea immediately.
  • Safety briefing, introduction of the crew, necessary diving formalities, cabin assignment and boat orientation will be carried out before leaving the port.
  • During the trip to our first dive site for a control dive, you can take the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the boat and get comfortable.
  • Note: This is a sample itinerary and the number of dives, dive sites, etc. may be subject to change due to weather conditions and other unpredictable factors.

Day 2 - 6


  • You will dive at the best sites available on the day

Dives Sites will include:

  • Moucha Island, Seven Brothers Islands including Eastern Island, Japanese garden, The steps and Tolka.
  • Golf of Tadjoura to enjoy and be amazed by the whale sharks. 
  • This will be snorkeling sessions to be able to enjoy the fullest of the whale sharks. 
  • Dives will also be organized in this area atRas Coralie and Ras Eiro

Day 7

  • There will be diving or snorkelling with whale sharks in the morning.

Day 8 

  • Breakfast on board
  • Transfer to the airport / hotel or to your excursion tour - Lac Assal, lowest point in Africa (-155meters) with a luxury coach featuring climate control, DVD, Wi-Fi, toilet etc.

What if I need to cancel my booking?

Your reservation request is obligation free and you can cancel anytime within the first 72 hours. During this time you can easily find matching flights and get answers from our reservations team to any further questions you may have. After you have confirmed and paid for your reservation, the following cancellation policy applies:

  • 30 % is non-refundable
  • Between 120 days and 90 days before the trip = 70 % is refundable
  • 90 days before the trip = no refund

In case of cancellation the refund will be transferred to your bank account, credit card or paypal account within 10 business days


  • Make sure you meet the requirements for your nationality and entry into the country you are visiting,
  • Make sure your passport is valid for at least six months after the date you plan to leave the country
  • Dive insurance is mandatory for divers of all ages on all our trips: bring your certificate as proof
  • It is strongly recommended to take out a travel insurance that is appropriate for the type of dive vacation booked
  • Check the electrical standards (such as what plugs are used) in your destination country before you travel and bring the appropriate adapter if necessary.
  • Itinerary and number of dives are indicative and subject to weather and conditions: safety always comes first
  • The operator of the vessel is not responsible for civil unrest, terrorism, strikes, illness, epidemics, accidents, injuries, damage, loss and theft, quarantine, customs regulations, changes to flight schedules, delays, deportation or refusal of entry by immigration authorities and other circumstances beyond our control.
  • In the event of a change in the cruise itinerary due to a major cause there is no refund, if there would be a refund if the duration of a cruise were to change, the affected passengers will be offered a credit or refund of the cruise fare pro-rated for the number of days of reduction of the cruise itinerary that was scheduled.
  • In the event that a cruise is cancelled, the ship will make every effort to provide a suitable alternative including, the option to participate in another available ship.
  • If no alternative offered is accepted by the affected cruise passengers, the ship reserves the right to provide a refund of the amount of the cruise fare paid or not.
  • All divers must provide their dive certification card
  • Dive computers are mandatory
  • Local rates, fuel surcharges, distance rates, port fees, etc. may change without notice due to changes in government policy, changes in oil prices, etc. Changes are beyond our control and increases must be paid upon request. We will endeavor to inform you of any changes as soon as possible. A change in these rates does not give you the right to cancel the trip.
