THE BOAT BELLA 1

Bella is a 38-meter boat that explores the Red Sea in Egypt. It is one of the few boats in the Red Sea that can leave from Hurghada and Port Ghalib. Making the logistics of your trip the best always.

The boat Bella travels south to experience an adventure through the destinations of St. Johns, Daedalus and the Brother Islands. At the back of the Bella there is a diving deck with equipment area, rinse tanks and camera stations. The deck leads to the diving platform.

On board the diving cruise Bella can accommodate 22 people in 9 Deluxe cabins with single beds, 1 Master cabin with Queen bed and 1 Double cabin with standard double bed. Each of the cabins has a safe, individually controlled air conditioning and a private bathroom with towels, bathrobes and a hairdryer. On the main deck there is a conditioned lounge with library, entertainment system and ice machine. In addition, there is a spacious dining room with self-service area buffet style and hot and cold drinks station. On the upper deck there is an outside lounge that leads to the partly covered terrace that features a relaxation area and a pair of hanging wicker seats.

In addition, the main outdoor area where you can hang out between your dives in the Red Sea is definitely the upper terrace. The solarium is partially shaded, so you can relax in the shade or sunbathe. In addition, the upper deck also has a shaded living area.

La Bella shows a spacious diving platform with all the needs related to diving. In fact, you will have plenty of space to put your equipment, storage space and rinse tanks. In addition, underwater photographers will be happy to find a dry place with a camera table to use. The stern diving platform facilitates water inlets and outlets.

The crew aboard the Bella is composed of a group of knowledgeable and expert people, ready to accompany you on a memorable cruise trip of diving in the Red Sea.

CABINS

A total of 12 cabins for 22 people + 2 dive guides , of which 10 are double cabins 2 shared beds, and 2 are double cabins 1 is a master suite and the other a staterooms with standard double bed. All cabins have air conditioning, private bathroom and storage space. In addition, nice extras such as towels and bath robes are added daily.

MOST RELEVANT INFORMATION 

  • For the South routes the boat leaves from Hurghada or Port Ghalib and ends at Hurghada or Port Ghalib
  • All the trips on this boat are from Saturday to Saturday, the first Saturday embarking, the last Saturday disembarking.
  • Attention! The departure/arrival at the marina can change due to the internal logistics of the boat, the bad weather conditions of the previous week or the bad weather forecast.

DEPARTURE AND EMBARKATION

  • The nearest airport is Hurghada or Marsa Alam The best-known and easiest airport to reach are the one in the cities of Hurghada 
  • The transfer from either of the two airports to the ship and from the ship to the airport on the first and last day is included in the price. 
  • If you arrive in Hurghada and the boat leaves from Port Ghalib, the transfer by land is included and takes around 3 hours.
  • If the boat leaves from Hurghada or Port Ghalib, the transfer from the airport to the boat is 10 minutes
  • Transfers from hotels  to the boat are included as well
  • Only two transfers are included, one on boarding day and the other on disembarkation day
  • Transfers other days that are not specified here are extras, they cost money and it is not guaranteed that the boat can do them since it is not in the program.
  • At the airport or at the hotel, a person carrying a Bella sign will pick you up (transfers are shared group, there may be a waiting time at the airport, depending on the flights of other passengers, transfer might need to go pick up others clients from hotels)
  • The embarkation is the first day indicated on the date the cruise begins, all the cruises begin on Saturday and the boarding time is in the afternoon from 5 pm until the early morning of Sunday maximum 6 am.
  • The boat leaves port on Sunday morning around 8 am to go to the first diving point where a shallow dive to test the diving equipment, surface buoy, adjust each divers' group will take place

ARRIVAL AND DISEMBARKATION

  • The boat arrives at port on Friday afternoon, this day only 2 dives are done in the morning.
  • It is your responsibility to make sure that you are respected 24 hours before flight time after your last dive
  • Once the boat arrives at port, you can get off and visit the area if you want to, dinner will be served on the boat, and the night of this day you will sleep on the boat.
  • Transfers to the airport will be according to the time of your flights, the maximum time to disembark is Saturday morning at 10:00 am.
  • In case of need the boat could give advance notice and of necessity to provide the last night from Friday to Saturday in a 4 * HB hotel, if it was the case, the hotel is paid by the boat and any extra transfer is offered free of charge,

EXTRA INFORMATION

  • On the Deep South area is located the Navy base of the naval forces of the Army of Egypt.  
  • The dive operator routine is to request permission on Monday and receive a response on Thursday, 2 days before the trip. In the case of a ban on navigation in the areas of Zabargad and Rocky, as well as the areas of St Johns and Abu Fendira, the route will be changed to a similar accesible one. Trip compensation and cancellation are not possible.
  • Port departure/arrival can be changed due to internal boat logistic, bad weather conditions on previous week or bad weather forecast. In case of changes all transfers are provided to the new marina, cannot be issue of refund or compensations.

GENERAL INFORMATION

  • We require you have a minimum of 20 logged dives for cruises that visit the Wreck of the Thistlegorm and 30 logged dives for cruises that visit the marine parks (Brothers, Zabargad, Daedalus & Rocky).
  • To dive with a dive buddy, you must be a PADI Open Water diver or equivalent and be able to complete each dive with your buddy or following your guide. On some dives the recommended depth is below 18m therefore advanced or Deep Diver training is advised.
  • Many of the dives in the Red Sea are suitable for all levels of divers, however, unpredictable and strong currents are to be expected anytime and anywhere. Inexperienced divers may find some dives challenging and may be asked by the Cruise Director to skip dives that are not suitable for their diving experience
  • Number of planned dives depending on the weather conditions and the route are around 21 dives.
  • Currents in some areas of this route can be strong.

PROGRAM

  • DAY 1 (Saturday): Arrival and assistance at the airport. Collecting your luggage. At the indicated time, transfer to the port.  Boarding the boat, welcome drink and presentation briefing of the boat and crew (depending on the schedule of flights will be the first day or the next day early morning). Distribution of cabins. Overnight on board. You can take some time this day to prepare your diving equipment. The Cruise Director will tell you if you have to make any payment.
  • DAYS 2nd to 6th (Sunday to Thursday) 18 to 21 are the nº of dives in this trip -DIVING CRUISE "------": Diving trip with full board and daily diving plan. You will dive the most important dive sites of this route. 
  • DAY 7TH (Friday) 2 dives in the morning. Friday afternoon / night, arrival at port. Dinner and accommodation on board. Free time to enjoy the local atmosphere, shopping and / or optional excursions in the area.
  • DAY 8 (Saturday) HURGHADA / PORT GHALIB : Disembark in Hurghada or Port Ghalib. Transfer to the hotel or airports

Routes - BDE Brothers Daedalus Elphinstone Port Ghalib * sometimes Hurghada

  • The golden triangle is made up of the famous Brothers Islands, Daedalus Reef and Elphinstone Reef. It is a route with a great distance of navigation, since all the points are far from the coast. 
  • The Brothers' Islands are the highlight of this route. These two islands are located in the middle of the Red Sea and are a refuge for thousands of species and the encounter with large pelagic species is common. Its walls full of coral, the great currents and the spectacular life, are the great references of these islands, without forgetting the sightings of oceanic white tip sharks, foxes and gray among others. We will also dive, if possible, in the Numidia wrecks which, with their almost vertical position and the visibility of the Red Sea, make this wreck a unique visual spectacle. In this area you can also find the wreck Aida.
  • Our second dive destination will be Daedalus Reef, famous for hammerhead shark sightings and large coral formations. Large schools of hammerhead sharks live in the vicinity of the reef and often approach it to feed.
  • Finally we will visit Elphinstone Reef, which juts out a few meters from the surface and whose life surprises and amazes even the most experienced divers. All kinds of pelagics visit the cleaning points in this reef where its walls get lost in the depth of this sea.

WHAT THIS ROUTE OFFERS

  • Oceanic Whitetip Shark "Longimanus" A very curious shark that approaches divers and is usually only a few meters deep. Devil's manta rays come to the island to seek their daily cleansing.
  • Fox Shark, with its characteristic whip-shaped tail fin that patrols the islands.
  • Banks of hammerhead sharks, sometimes reaching banks of more than 20 specimens.
  • Along the entire reef, grey and silky sharks 
  • Whale sharks and tiger sharks are another show in the area.
  • SS. Numidia - 107m British vessel sunk in 1901

St Johns - Port Ghalib

The farthest Red. The Gran Sur route is one of the most varied and diverse routes in the Red Sea. With long navigation distances between the points, it is a route that can be easily adapted to different levels of diving and where we will be able to see unique and exclusive places thanks to the fact that only cruise ships can access this area. The South stands out for the reef life, the coral formations and in some points for the sharks and we can snorkel with dolphins in freedom. We will visit the island of Zabargad with its mysterious Russian shipwreck, its spectacular coral garden and the impressive soft coral walls of Rocky Island where there is a great chance of finding pelagics. In addition, we will visit the submerged Habilis, with its lush life and where so many pelagics come to feed, the pinnacle forest of Umm Arouk, the incredible caves of Umm Hararim and the incredible reefs of Claudio, Malahi and Shaab Maksour. We will visit the cave maze of "Shaa Claudia" at Fury Shoal and be dazzled by the play of light underwater, a paradise for photosubbers and if conditions allow we will explore the Habili Ali reef in search of the Longimanus. Back to port we will dive in the Marsa Alam area and go in search of the Dugongs that live in the sand meadows.

Brothers Route and North - Hurghada Port

  • Super complete and varied route in which all the immersion points are of the best of the Red Sea and of world-wide fame.
  • Dive in one week in places like Ras Mohamed National Park, the Brothers Islands in search of pelagics, some of the best wrecks in the world like the SS Thistlegorm and the Salem Express and in walls like those of Abu Kifan in Safaga.
  • The variety of dives make this route very particular, with dive sites very different from each other and where you can appreciate all varieties of life and environment that the Red Sea offers, such as reef and pelagic life, the spectacular historical wrecks or the incredible coral walls.
  • With a wider navigation than in other routes, we visit the Ras Mohamed National Park to enjoy a real underwater paradise, we dive in the S.S. Thistlegorm, a British wreck sunk during the Second World War to enjoy this impressive wreck and we explore the spectacular reef of Abu Nu'as, known as the wreck cemetery.
  • We will sail to the remote Brothers Islands, the highlight of this route. These two islands are located in the middle of the Red Sea, are an oasis of life and food so the encounter with large pelagic is usually common. Its walls full of coral, the great currents and the spectacular life, are the great references of these islands, without forgetting the sightings of sharks. We will dive in the wrecks Numidia and Aida. On the way back to Hurghada, if the weather conditions are favourable, we will visit the Salem Express.

Daedalus Route, Sataya, Elphinstone - Port Ghalib

  • Daedalus Reef, Sataya and Elphinstone Reef. It is a route with a great distance of navigation, since all the points are far from the coast. 
  • Located southwest of the Red Sea, this area is formed by a group of reefs. Sataya is the main reef and one of the most unspoiled in Egypt, with large gardens of hard and soft corals, reef sharks, turtles, clownfish, barracudas, etc. They form a horseshoe in whose interior, we can emphasize the diving in Dolphin Reef (Sha'ab Sataya), where it is habitual the sighting of families of dolphins
  • Our second dive destination will be Daedalus Reef, famous for hammerhead shark sightings and large coral formations. Large schools of hammerhead sharks live in the vicinity of the reef and often come up to feed.
  • Finally we will visit Elphinstone Reef, which juts out a few meters from the surface and whose life surprises and amazes even the most experienced divers. All kinds of pelagics visit the cleaning points in this reef where its walls get lost in the depth of this sea.

CANCELLATION POLICY

What if I need to cancel my reservation?

Your reservation request is free of charge and you can cancel it at any time within 72 hours. During this time, you can easily find matching flights and get answers from our reservations team for any other questions you may have. Once you have confirmed and paid for your reservation, the following cancellation policy applies:

  • 30% non-refundable
  • Between 120 and 90 days before the trip = 70 % refund
  • Less than 90 days before the trip = no refund

In case of cancellation, the refund will be transferred to your bank account, credit card or PayPal account within 10 working days.

BEFORE TRAVELLING

  • Make sure you meet the requirements for your nationality and entry into the country you are visiting,
  • Make sure your passport is valid for at least six months after the date you plan to leave the country
  • Dive insurance is mandatory for divers of all ages on all our trips: bring your certificate as proof
  • It is strongly recommended to take out a travel insurance that is appropriate for the type of dive vacation booked
  • Check the electrical standards (such as what plugs are used) in your destination country before you travel and bring the appropriate adapter if necessary.
  • Itinerary and number of dives are indicative and subject to weather and conditions: safety always comes first
  • The operator of the vessel is not responsible for civil unrest, terrorism, strikes, illness, epidemics, accidents, injuries, damage, loss and theft, quarantine, customs regulations, changes to flight schedules, delays, deportation or refusal of entry by immigration authorities and other circumstances beyond our control.
  • In the event of a change in the cruise itinerary due to a major cause there is no refund, if there would be a refund if the duration of a cruise were to change, the affected passengers will be offered a credit or refund of the cruise fare pro-rated for the number of days of reduction of the cruise itinerary that was scheduled.
  • In the event that a cruise is cancelled, the ship will make every effort to provide a suitable alternative including, the option to participate in another available ship.
  • If no alternative offered is accepted by the affected cruise passengers, the ship reserves the right to provide a refund of the amount of the cruise fare paid or not.
  • All divers must provide their dive certification card
  • Dive computers are mandatory
  • Local rates, fuel surcharges, distance rates, port fees, etc. may change without notice due to changes in government policy, changes in oil prices, etc. Changes are beyond our control and increases must be paid upon request. We will endeavor to inform you of any changes as soon as possible. A change in these rates does not give you the right to cancel the trip.
