EXTRA INFORMATION

  • Aurora Crew will pick you up from Sorong airport and take you to the ferry port ready for the ferry over to Wasai where the boat will be waiting. It is very important to ensure that all domestic flights arrive early in the morning at Sorong, to be able to transfer guests from Sorong to Waisai by ferry for the cruise’s departure. For your information, there are only 2 ferries daily from Sorong to Wasai: 9.00am and 2:00PM; So we highly recommend to book flights with an arrival into Sorong early in the morning, so in the case of a delay on arrival, there is still the opportunity to catch the 2:00 pm ferry.
  • Please note, if your last logged dive is more than a year ago, you will need to participate in a refresher dive.

Diving Experience Required:-

  • For the cruises of Raja Ampat and Wakatobi, we recommend that you have at least 25 logged dives and the Open Water (OW) Diver certification. However, due to water conditions, the OW certification will not allow you on some of the dives.
  • For the cruises of Forgotten Islands (Alor), Banda Sea and Komodo, we recommend 50 logged dives and the Advanced Open Water (AOW) Diver certification.

GENERAL INFORMATION

  • Approx 33 dives depending on length of the trip
  • Level required:  Advanced Open Water
  • 50 Dives recommended Advanced open water certification as most dives are conducted as drift dives with some current.
  • Some dives are in strong currents and a minimum experience of every single diver is key for the safety of the group.
  • Raja Ampat, is an archipelago that sits off the northwestern tip of New Guinea Island and encompasses over 1,500 cays, islands and shoals in Indonesia.
  • Renowned as a popular dive destination for its healthy reefs and exceptional biodiversity and its location within the Coral Triangle.
