OUR BOAT

Discovery Adventure measuring 47m long and 8.5m wide, cruises at 7 knots, it was built in Fiji back in 1987. This boat is run by a professional diving team - Discovery Fleet. They put all their energy to make sure it remains the most pleasant and most functional liveaboard for Divers.

On the Main Deck, there is an indoor air conditioned saloon which also includes a Camera Room with lots of tables and charging stations just outside of the saloon, there are large rinse tanks for cameras. And the upper Sundeck has a very pleasant outdoor shaded Dining Area.

OUR CABINS

Discovery Adventure has 13 modern comfortable air-conditioned cabins and can accommodate up to 26 - 30 guests on each trip. The cabins are in varying combinations;

• 2 cabins on the Saloon Deck -  VIP 1 & 2, with 2 Twin beds
• 4 cabins on the Upper Deck - UD 1, 2, 3, 4, with 3 single beds that can be altered to 1 King bed and 1 single bed.
• 7 Lower Deck cabins - 
• LD 1 & 2 with 1 Queen bed
• LD 3 with 1 full sized bed and 1 twin bed
• LD 4, 5, 6,  with 2 full sized beds.
• LD 7, with 1 full sized bed.

All rooms with centralized air-conditioning and en-suite bathrooms.

AMENITIES

Discovery Adventure offers leisure-time activities in the air-conditioned Main Lounge including a large-screen entertainment centre with TV and DVD player for watching movies or listening to music. Hang out at the Bar with your favourite adult beverage. Guests can totally relax on the shaded Sundeck or find lots of deck room to nap in the sun and enjoy the warm breeze and jaw dropping seascapes.

FOOD ON BOARD

The cuisine aboard the Discovery Adventure will satisfy the largest of appetites and all palates. The talented Chefs cook up plentiful and a varied selection of Local and International cuisine three times a day. The Main Dining area is a glass enclosed showcase offering dining with a view of exotic, white beach trimmed islands. Dining may also take place in the open air of the Upper Deck with the sweet tropical scented breeze accompanying the feasts. The freshly prepared cuisine is served buffet style and offers choices for all taste buds. There will even be an Island Beach BBQ! All meals, snacks, hot drinks and water are included in your stay, other soft drinks and alcohol can be purchased onboard.

DIVING WITH US

The spacious and luxurious Discovery Adventure sister boat of Discovery Palawan provides Divers with the opportunity to see Whale Sharks, Manta Rays and Hammerheads as well as spectacular Coral Reefs in Tubbataha National Park and Apo Reef.

Discovery Adventure offers diving at vibrant Reefs and Wrecks while Non Divers can Snorkel, go on Island Excursions, Kayaking and Beach Hopping. Divers and Snorkelers alike will enjoy sites such as Apo Reef and experience the underwater beauty of the Philippines. MOST RELEVANT INFORMATION

• The trip begins and ends in Cebu Yacht Club
• Pickup time at the airport is according to your flights. Give yourself enough time to go through immigration and pickup your bags

EMBARKATION AND DEPARTURE

• A representative will be waiting for you at the airport holding a banner of Discovery Fleet.
• Hotel pickup time is in the afternoon from hotel must be within 10km from port within PPS City
• Check in on the boat is between 11 am 
• The boat departs  in the afternoon on the same day
• The vessel is equipped with US power sockets, Power socket adapters
• Accepted payment methods on board: Cash and Credit card Visa and Mastercard
• DIN/INT adaptors are available on board
• Towels and soap are included

ARRIVAL AND DISEMBARKATION

• Your last dives will be on the last day in the morning
• It is your responsibility to ensure you respect the 24 hour no-fly time after your last dive!
• The boat docks back  on the last day
• Check out and disembarkation is around 08:00 on the last day.
• Hotel drop-off time is in the morning at hotel must be within 10km from port within PPS City
• Airport drop-off time is in the morning

PROGRAM VISAYAS 5 DAYS 4 NIGHTS

Dives. Approximately 9 dives in total

Experience. Open Water - No minimum logged dives required.

Day 1: Mactan

Embark at Cebu Yacht Club, Mactan starting at 11:30 AM. Welcome Lunch served on board, followed by a boat briefing at 3 PM. Delight in a bountiful Welcome Dinner spread.

Day 2: Oslob - Sumilon

Breakfast will be served at 7 am. After breakfast, divers and snorkelers will be able to wonder at the majestic sight of the biggest fish in the Sea – the whale sharks. The majestic and gentle whale sharks have provided the residents a sustainable means of livelihood by providing income as guides, boatmen and other jobs and businesses.

In the afternoon, we transfer to Sumilon island where guests can snorkel its shallow and beautiful reefs.

Day 3: Apo Island

Apo Island holds the distinction of being one of the very first and successful marine sanctuaries in the Philippines. So much so that it is used as the centerpiece model at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. Due to its protected status, the coral reefs are healthy while the fish life is prolific. Guests will have a chance to marvel at the best underwater communities in the world. Expect to see turtles, schools of jacks. A visit to a fishing village is also on the itinerary for today.

Day 4: Cabilao

Cabilao remains as one of the roads less traveled due to the popularity of its more famous neighbor Balicasag. Free from the madding crowd, expect to see pristine beaches and azure waters. Underwater, the corals seem to be more prolific and alive here than the other popular dive sites in the Visayas. Sea fans, Elephant ear corals, vibrantly colored soft corals await the lucky divers and snorkelers.

On your last night, our Farewell Cocktails and Dinner will give you one last moment to remember.

Day 5: Mactan

Disembark at Cebu Yacht Club, Mactan after breakfast. Transfer to the airport.

Explore awesome marine sanctuaries and idyllic secluded islands like never before – away from the busy crowds. From the surface or deeper depths, experience nature at its finest. Our exclusive and unique itinerary takes us around Sumilon Island, Apo Island and the azure waters of Cabilao. Trust us, the picturesque and panoramic views, never get old. You’ll want to add this to your bucket list!

The last dive will be on the penultimate day of the trip at around 2 pm. Divers are recommended to wait for 24hours before flying after the last dive.

CANCELLATION POLICY

What if I need to cancel my booking?

Your reservation request is obligation free and you can cancel anytime within the first 72 hours. During this time you can easily find matching flights and get answers from our reservations team to any further questions you may have. After you have confirmed and paid for your reservation, the following cancellation policy applies:

• 30 % non refundable
• Between 120 days and 90 days before trip = 70 % refundable
• Less than 90 days before trip = no refund

In case of cancellation the refund will be transferred to your bank account, credit card or paypal account within 10 business days

BEFORE TRAVELLING

• Make sure you meet the country's requirements corresponding to your nationality
• Make sure your passport is valid at least six months after the date you plan to visit the country
• Diving insurance is mandatory for divers of all ages on all of our trips: bring your certificate as proof
• It is strongly recommended to have travel insurance that is appropriate for the type of diving holidays you are going to do
• Check the electrical standards (such as which plugs are used) in your destination country before travelling and bring the appropriate adaptor if necessary.
• The itinerary and the number of dives are indicative and are subject to weather conditions and conditions: safety is always first
• All divers must provide their diving certification card
• Diving computers are compulsory
• Local rates, fuel surcharges, distance rates, port fees, etc. may change without notice due to changes in government policy, changes in the price of oil, etc. The changes are beyond our control and the increases must be paid if the boat requests them. We will endeavor to inform you of any changes as soon as possible. A change in these rates does not entitle you to cancel the trip.
