DIVING WITH US

The Southern Sport is liveaboard operating diving tours around the best of Mexico's Pacific waters. This means unforgettable week-long cruises around Socorro aimed mainly at experienced Divers and shorter trips to experience the wonder of the Great White Sharks of Guadalupe Island.

Southern Sport's emphasis on safety is evidenced by the boat's stability in the water, and the provision of individual lost diver devices, mandatory dive insurance on all its liveaboard charters and a re-compression chamber on board its sister ship Sea Escape.

Photographers will note the Dive Deck's camera table and camera rinse tank, as well as the many charging points around the liveaboard vessel. This liveaboard will bring you closer to the underwater world with big animal encounters and will leave you with unforgettable memories.

GENERAL INFORMATION

  • Guadalupe is not a liveaboard destination in the usual sense.

  • Watch these majestic predators at the top of the food chain hunting for food or playfully swimming in groups
  • From the safety of a cage you can enjoy some of the world's best encounters with these awesome apex predators.
  • It is for any ability including untrained scuba divers.
  • There are only a few spots of earth where great whites can be seen in such numbers and in such intimacy.
  • And possibly nowhere in the world that has these shark encounters with such great visibility of 100 to 150ft (30-45m) as Guadalupe Island.
  • That explains why scuba divers who love sharks come here and take photographs that become their pride and joy, reminding them of these unforgettable moments
  • These waters are filled also with elephant seals, sea lions and fur seals. All of these are great food for the great whites
