OUR BOAT

At 36.50m long, the classy and comfortable liveaboard, Red Sea Aggressor, is the ticket to see the best diving in the Red Sea. The 12 welcoming and experience crew members speak English, Arabic and Russian.

OUR CABINS

Up to 20 guests have their choice of two types of air-conditioned cabins. The Deluxe Stateroom with 2 Single beds or Master Stateroom with Queen bed. All cabins include: port hole, mirrored wardrobe, bathrobes, hairdryer, fresh towels, individual climate control, private en-suite bathroom, linen service and fresh towels. In addition, each cabin comes complete with a 23-inch flat screen TV, a selection of 400 movies, TV shows and documentaries. Guests are welcome to plug their computers into the TV and edit underwater pictures and videos.

AMENITIES

Relax in the comfort of your Stateroom or in the air-conditioned Main Saloon with entertainment centre. Watch movies, have fun with some Karaoke or listen to your favourite tunes. A small library is available for book exchanges as well as fish identification books. Enjoy a drink at the Bar with your buddy, or nap on the shaded Sundeck on the cushioned lounge chairs. Indulge yourself by soaking in the hot tub after an adventurous day of diving. For those that can’t get enough of the marine sights, snorkelling is offered between dives. Of course, there is a complete photo/video centre to accommodate editing the amazing photos you will be taking during this ultimate Dive Safari Vacation.

FOOD ON BOARD

Each morning will begin with a freshly cooked breakfast including a choice of beverages. For convenience, lunch is served buffet-style and often includes Egyptian and fresh, local cuisine and features hot soups, homemade breads, salads and sandwiches and/or entrees. The elegant dinners with table side Waiter service aboard the Red Sea Aggressor are prepared each evening by the Chef and include: salad, vegetables, seafood, beef or chicken and are topped off with a fresh homemade dessert. There will also be fresh mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks. Beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) are complimentary. Special dietary considerations may not be available due to the remote nature of this location. There are Vegetarian and Halal options offered. Guests may bring their own favourite brands of alcohol.

DIVING IN THE AREA

Diving in Egypt is available all year round. The best season is from March to the middle of December. All of these months diving is amazing in this region with water temperatures from 25º-28º. Winter water temperatures (Middle of December to February) are still 23º. There are great discount offers on boats and a minimum number of boats in the area, the dive sites are exclusive to you

MOST RELEVANT INFORMATION

  • For this route the boat leaves from Port Ghalib and ends at Port Ghalib 
  • All the trips on this boat are from Saturday to Saturday, the first Saturday embarking, the last Saturday disembarking.
  • Attention! The departure/arrival at the marina can change due to the internal logistics of the boat, the bad weather conditions of the previous week or the bad weather forecast.

DEPARTURE AND EMBARKATION 

  • The trip begins in Port Ghalib and ends in Port Ghalib
  • The closest airport is Marsa Alam Intl (RMF)
  • You will receive exact meeting point instructions closer to the trip date directly from the Liveaboard
  • Transfer from the following hotels is offered: Marina Lodge, Siva, Port Ghalib or Palace, Port Ghalib for guests registered at these hotels
  • You can check in on the boat as of 15:00 until late evening
  • The boat departs Port Ghalib at around 06:00 on the following day 

ARRIVAL AND DISEMBARKATION 

  • Your last dives will be on the second to last day late in the morning
  • It is your responsibility to ensure you respect the 24 hour no-fly time after your last dive.
  • The boat docks back in Port Ghalib in the afternoon on the second to last day
  • Check out and disembarkation is around 08:00 on the last day.
  • Transfer to Marsa Alam airport is complimentary, but there will be a fee for Hurghada transfers (see what's included/not included section for potential charges)
  • Transfers to local hotels are not included. You'll need to make your own way to your hotel

EXTRA INFORMATION

  • Anybody participating in a diving activity must present a medical certificate not older then 12 months (RSTC medical history questionnaire is acceptable). The universal RSTC Medical History Questionnaire is acceptable.
  • If you answer YES to any of the questions, you will need to visit with your local medical professional for an examination and obtain their approval (via their signature) before participating in recreational diving. PLEASE BRING A COMPLETED COPY OF THIS FORM WITH YOU TO THE YACHT.
  • The Hurghada International Airport is approximately 4 hours from Port Ghalib and the Marsa Alam International Airport is 10 minutes from Port Ghalib Airport transfers are included if arriving and departing from the Marsa Alam Airport on the charter start/end dates to and from Port Ghalib Harbor, where the yacht docks
  • Estimated arrival to Hurghada International Airport is 12 pm
  • 25 DIVES ST JOHNS ROUTE
  • Advanced Open Water Certification
  • No minimum number of dives required but recommended is 50 + dives and being comfortable with currents

GENERAL INFORMATION

  • We require you have a minimum of Advanced Open Water certification for this route.
  • To dive with a dive buddy, you must be a PADI Open Water diver or equivalent and be able to complete each dive with your buddy or following your guide. On some dives the recommended depth is below 18m therefore advanced or Deep Diver training is advised.
  • Many of the dives in the Red Sea are suitable for all levels of divers, however, unpredictable and strong currents are to be expected anytime and anywhere. Inexperienced divers may find some dives challenging and may be asked by the Cruise Director to skip dives that are not suitable for their diving experience
  • Number of planned dives depending on the weather conditions and the route are around 18 - 22 dives.
  • Currents in some areas of this route can be strong.

PROGRAMME

  • DAY 1 (Saturday): Arrival and assistance at the airport. Collecting your luggage. At the indicated time, transfer to the port in Port Ghaleb. Boarding the boat Red Sea Aggressor, welcome drink and presentation briefing of the boat and crew (depending on the schedule of flights will be the first day or the next day early morning). Distribution of cabins. Overnight on board. You can take some time this day to prepare your diving equipment. The Cruise Director will tell you if you have to make any payment, remember that the rental equipment, nitrox, other payments are made before the ship leaves port, the payments are cash. If you want to buy beers or wine for your trip on the boat you will have to tell the Cruise Director before the departure of the ship, buy and pay it at once, you can store the drinks in your cabin or in the boat's refrigerators.
  • DAYS 2nd to 6th (Sunday to Thursday) 25 are the nº of dives in this trip -DIVING CRUISE "ST JOHNS": Diving trip with full board and daily diving plan. You will dive the most important dive sites of this route. 
  • DAY 7TH (Friday) 2 dives in the morning. Friday afternoon / night, arrival at port. Dinner and accommodation on board. Free time to enjoy the local atmosphere, shopping and / or optional excursions in the area.
  • DAY 8 (Saturday) HURGHADA or PORT GHALEB: Disembark in Port Ghaleb or Hurghada. Transfer to the hotel or airports

RED SEA DIVE ROUTES

Deep South Route - St Johns, Rocky, Zabargad or St Johns, Abu Fendira

  • The farthest Red Sea Deep South route is the one with the greatest variety of environments and greatest diversity in the Red Sea. With long navigation distances between the points, it is a route that can be easily adapted to different levels of diving and where we can see unique and exclusive places that only liveaboard ships can get access to.
  • South stands out for the reef life, coral formations and a homing point for sharks, we can snorkel with wild dolphins. We will visit the island of Zabargad with its mysterious Russian wreck, its spectacular coral garden and the impressive soft coral walls of Rocky Island where there are great possibilities to find pelagics. In addition, we will visit the submerged Habilis, with its exuberant life and where so many pelagic come to feed, the pinnacle forest of Umm Arouk, the incredible caves of Umm Hararim and the incredible reefs of Claudius, Malahi and Shaab Maksour.
  • We will visit the labyrinth of caves of "Shaa Claudia" in Fury Shoal and we will be dazzled by the play of lights that form underwater, a paradise for the underwater photographer and if the conditions allow it we will explore the reef of Habili Ali in search of the Longimanus. Back to port we will dive in the Marsa Alam area and we will go in search of the Dugongs that inhabit the sand meadows.

ST JOHNS

  • St Johns is a vast collection of small reefs offering some of the most remote and rewarding diving in the Red Sea. This incredibly beautiful reef lies a short distance north of the Sudanese border. The reef covers a huge area and many dives would be needed to explore the numerous coral heads and islands. Habili Ali offers giant gorgonians and black corals whilst grey reef, silvertip and schools of hammerhead sharks might be found on the west side. Habili Gafaar is a mass of soft corals teeming with shoals of snappers, butterfly fish and barracudas. Mantas, grey reef and silvertip sharks can often be seen in the blue.
  • The farthest south route is one of the routes with the greatest variety of environments and greatest diversity in the Red Sea. CANCELLATION POLICY

    What happens if I need to cancel my reservation?

    Your reservation request is free and you can cancel it at any time within the first 72 hours. During this time, you can easily find matching flights and get answers from our reservation team for any other questions you may have. Once you have confirmed and paid for your reservation, the following cancellation policy will apply:

    • 20% of the total booking amount will be charged if you cancel more than 120 days prior to arrival
    • 40% will be charged if you cancel between 120 and 91 days prior to arrival
    • 100% will be charged if you cancel less than 91 days prior to arrival

    In case of cancellation, the refund will be transferred to your bank account, credit card or PayPal account within 10 business days

    BEFORE TRAVELLING

    • Make sure you meet the country's requirements corresponding to your nationality
    • Make sure your passport is valid at least six months after the date you plan to visit the country
    • Diving insurance is mandatory for divers of all ages on all of our trips: bring your certificate as proof
    • It is strongly recommended to have travel insurance that is appropriate for the type of diving holidays you are going to do
    • Check the electrical standards (such as which plugs are used) in your destination country before travelling and bring the appropriate adaptor if necessary.
    • The itinerary and the number of dives are indicative and are subject to weather conditions and conditions: safety is always first
    • All divers must provide their diving certification card
    • Diving computers are compulsory
    • Local rates, fuel surcharges, distance rates, port fees, etc. may change without notice due to changes in government policy, changes in the price of oil, etc. The changes are beyond our control and the increases must be paid if the boat requests them. We will endevour to inform you of any changes as soon as possible. A change in these rates does not entitle you to cancel the trip.
