Malta consists of three islands: Malta, the main one; Gozo, the next largest one, and Comino, a small island in the middle of the other two that is famous for the Blue Lagoon. These islands are located in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, below Sicily. Currently, Malta is an independent republic, member of the European Union, and although it seems very small if we consider its extension (316km2), it has a lot of corners and possibilities when visiting it as a tourist. The currency is the Euro.

In its crystalline waters, you can find a visibility of up to 40 meters, even at great depths. There are never currents and the island has diving points everywhere, so even if it is windy, you can always dive.

But without a doubt, the most attractive thing about Malta is its wrecks.

So there may be more than a thousand wrecks around Malta. The ships are counted by the dozens and, although it is true that many are unreachable, a few others have sunk at a distance that allows them to be reached by diving. Diving in Malta is distinguished by its spectacular reefs, rock formations, vertical walls, large caves, as well as an incredible variety of life: barracudas, octopuses, cuttlefish, morays, rays, breams, gilthead breams, nudibranchs and others.

Mainly the dives are done from the coast. Easy access from the vehicle to the shore is very common on the island.

Buceo Malta, currently run by Venezuelans Diego Scuro and Genesis Jimenez, is a reference center for Spanish-speaking divers.

In Buceo Malta we recommend that you do both dives in the morning, so that by 14:00 the diving is over and counting that many dive sites in Malta have fresh water showers, you will be available to be comfortable enjoying the rest of the day sightseeing in the area near the dive centre.
